Университет Нархоз будет развивать свой креативный кластер

Narxoz University with its partner Coventry University has been awarded UK£40 000 from the British Council’s Creative Spark Partnership Fund.In 2014, Coventry University created a subsidiary (Coventry University Social Enterprise) to help promote and develop social entrepreneurs through a range of training, ideation and advocacy programs. It is the leading higher education incubator for social enterprise. It facilitates business platforms and incubators.
Narxoz has launched a new creative hub “WeArt” which gives students the practical
skills and knowledge they need to be successful in the creative industries. WeArt’s residents come from disadvantaged backgrounds but who see professional opportunities in creativity.
Creative Spark will develop and improve academic programs as well as draw integrate
best world practice into the academic process. Participants of the project will get access to the British Council English learning online platforms while the most active students will be able to participate in an international business ideas competition for a Student Enterprise Award.
Currently, 24 student clubs are successfully operating in Narxoz.

Project plans for 2019:

  • April 17-18, 2019, Creative Almaty forum will be held, curatorial training of teachers and students will also be held, and online and offline workshops will be delivered.

English clubs

As part of the Creative Spark Higher Education Enterprise Program, Narxoz has signed an agreement with the British Council to create an English club on campus. The idea of this project is to develop students’ speaking skills in English. Participation is free. The project is valid from July 2019 to March 2020. The grant is funded by the British Council.
